My future aspirations/just thinking out loud

I am a person that loves to think about what the next years of my life look like (but not in an existential way). Like I love to think of each new life I will live every year because I aspire to do new things every year ! So here's my little brainstorm page, even if it get's outdated idgaf

2026:

Okay so for this year so far (2026) I have been working full-time (6 FREAKING DAYS) as a barista (which I actually enjoy) to save up so much money. But, also because I am going to Europe in August and taking my mummmy with me !! I am so excited for Europe like I can't even describe it in words, I have only travelled to Indonesia so far and I am Australian so it makes it hard. But I decided last year that I wanted to travel every year, so I am making it happen!! Europe was #1 on the list and I am so so pumped!! We are starting in London, train to Paris, then Brussels, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Swiss Alps, all around Italy and then finishing in Greece!

I also visited Cairns in January with a friend, we snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef (Absolutely unreal, I saw some turtles!) and visited some islands which were really pretty and we even met this British guy around our age who was solo travelling! It also rained like crazy one night when we Ubered Maccas to our hotel, and we had to put on these MASSIVE ponchos and run out to the Uber's car it was hilarious. (No you dont get to see photos!) Anyways, I am heading up to Brisbane in July before Europe with a friend to visit a friend (We are gonna have "The Hangover" typa weekend ;] ) And then I am heading to Thailand with my sister in November! Unrealll!! I told you I loved travelling.

Anyways aside from my Travel, this year opened up a lot for me as I had a rough breakup towards the end of 2025. So I explored a lot of different things in my life. I wrote my first novel this year which is roughly 112,000 words (I poured my soul into this shit). I started reading again (Love my romance novels), J'ai commencé à apprendre le français (I started learning French) and I learnt HTML and CSS coding (this website!). I currently play pickleball (funny ikr, my sister got me into it!), work most days and party on the weekends WOOPPP!!

2027:

So 2027 I already know what I want to do. I live about 40 minutes away from the main city near me, so next year I want to work closer to the city/outskirts of the city and I know what you're thinking... (you'll get sick of it !!) NO I WONT! I will be only working 4 days, in a job I like (probably a barista) and I will get a chance to walk around the city after work and explore! I love exploring Melbourne city and I feel like I rarely get to.

I also want to do some extra things too! I want to take up tennis (in the city ofc, I could do it after work), I want to volunteer in gardens or animal shelters (open up my community), and maybe join a club! I also will be taking French lessons to polish up my speaking and Grammar. I also will be buying a piano because I absolutely miss playing!! I will probably have to look on Facebook Marketplace for a cheap piano lmao. Anyways, for the travel side of it I'm doing a few things. So the main trip will be in October-November I'll be visiting the Middle East with my mum (she speaks Arabic) but I haven't decided what countries yet... although I want to go to Turkey first but mayb Jordan, Egypt and... Oman?? Anyways, in June I am visiting Uluru with my mum (yay travel buddy), Sydney in January and I want to plan another international trip mid year with my sister or friend. (I'll also be unemployed in Jan so I will be roadtripping a lot too!)

But yeah that's my plans for 2027 for work/travel/lifestyle. I also better be fluent in French by the end of that year too because that'll lead us onto the next year which is a big one...

2028:

So 2028 is the big one and is what most of my hard earned money is going towards, and why I am buckling down on my French. I am planning on... DUN DUN DUN... doing a working holiday visa in France for a year!! I'll be living out of home for the first time and on my own! (Well... probably with roommates but you get the gist). I have been wanting to do a working holiday in another country for quite some time, but I wanted to challenge myself and do it in a place where I'd have to learn a new language, because I have always wanted to be bilingual! Plus, I have always loved the French language and so I thought why not France! (More specifically Provence/Aix-en-Provence for my stay)

It'll be my first solo trip overseas and my first time away from home for a while. I am lowkey nervous af but I know I really want to do it, and if worst comes to worst I can always fly back home whenever. Though I will try and stick it out for just under a year. (Hopefully I meet a hot French man who sweeps me off my feet)

My brainstorm ideas for the next years after that:

Okay so after France, I really wanna do Camp USA because I know a few people in my area who have done it and it sounds so cool. I also really want to explore the US and they are annoying af with visas, you can't do a traditional WHV like my country and the EU + Canada. They're more strict, so doing camp USA gives me a chance to work there a bit and travel around some of the states. I really want to see New York, Oregon (Camping/Twilight vibes like cmon), Arizona (The Grand canyon) and other places like California & Vegas. The US has so much and I really wanna go there. (Wish I could do a WHV in New York and live out my movie fanatasies)

So after the USA, I really want to travel the Nordics and see the snow and the northern lights. I hate cold so I wouldn't go for a long time, but just so experience it would be cool. I would love to do a WHV in Canada aswell, maybe Toronto because it would give a smiliar vibe to New York. I want to volunteer in Africa or on a farm somewhere in Peru or somewhere in South America I think that would be cool af. I want to live in the UK for a bit, ohh I want to be trilingual and learn another language... like maybe Spanish or something so if I travelled the South Americas it would be easier to communicate. I want to Travel Asia, would really like to see Russia, Kazakhstan, travel around Africa and maybe live on an Island for a bit.

I know you guys are thinking "Wow what a dream, so unrealistic" no it's actually not. Lmao I feel bad for people who think that way, think so small minded. Anything is possible that you want to achieve and me and many others are walking example of that. I am actively working towards it and I am achieving them this year, I have booked the trips I dreamt about for years. My broskis, whoever is reading this... anything is possible. Chase whatever life it is that you desire. Don't let other small minded people make you think you can't.
